Walk the beach road at Cupsogue Suffolk County Park, cross shallow water to the sand flats, and look for migrating shorebirds and waders, including Marbled Godwits, Red Knots, and Little Blue Herons. After lunch, explore the Eastport and Riverhead sod fields for “grass peeps,” with American Golden Plover a possibility.

Leader: Brian MoldashelTransportation: Carpool Trip: While carpool rides for everyone usually work out, there is no guarantee of enough volunteer drivers to accommodate all participants. The Registrar will work to organize rides and to notify participants when a rental car may be necessary.
