This walk explores Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, a significant bird habitat with salt marshes, ponds, fields, woods, open bay and islands. Led by Richard ZainEldeen, the half-day trip may include the East Pond and covers 3-4 miles on mostly flat terrain.

However, an effort will be made by the registrar to provide rides, though there is no guarantee of enough volunteer drivers to accommodate all participants.
