The 2026 Pumpkin Smash invites participants to bring old pumpkins and gourds, or use pumpkins provided, and smash them for composting. Hosted by the Brooklyn College Sustainability Club and the Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability, it also includes learning about food waste reduction and composting, refreshments, and connections with fellow students interested in sustainability.

Join the Brooklyn College Sustainability Club and the Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability for the 2026 Pumpkin Smash. Help keep organic waste out of landfills while enjoying a fun, hands-on sustainability event at the BCEats Farm, behind the Tow Center/PAC and Whitman Hall Theater.
